First stage of the project for the rebirth of the artist
In co-organization with the Municipality of Trieste, from 24 April to 5 May 2024, at the Sala Arturo Nathan, Magazzino 26 of the Porto Vecchio.
The association’s local device Donner des ailes of Paris proposes to the city of Trieste the first edition of the Salon of Architectural Beauty which is part of the broader project for the rebirth of the artist. The Italia Nostra and Trieste Bella associations collaborated.
This event was born from the desire to bring together those involved in culture and heritage in order to restore the dialogue relating to the architectural beauty of Trieste and in particular to ornamentation.
“Restoring the dialogue” means redefining the structure of the “art industry” present between the 19th and early 20th centuries in order to jointly establish a cultural association engaged in study and research activities and in the methods of transmitting production techniques dedicated to beautification.
As part of the artist’s rebirth project, the Association Donner des ailes is, in fact, engaged in the development of an exceptional device to provide citizens with local power to beautify their city.
The objective is to create a training space through the reactivation of free drawing courses for artists and to ensure their promotion through exhibitions.
Applications for teachers and art students are open. What determines the admission of one body or another is not the diplomas, but the pleasure of study and collaboration, for the affirmation of a new climate of friendship and common perspectives.
Calendar:
(1) From 23 April to 5 May 2024: first edition of the architectural beauty salon
(Trieste) to bring together the actors of culture, heritage and architecture.
(2) From 7 May to 7 September 2024: promotion of the artist’s rebirth project in order to:
− stimulate the provision of spaces for free courses
− search for both volunteer professors and future “arts” candidates
− promote archives and artistic professions with the aim of encouraging commitment and rediscovering the desire to learn
(3) OROctober 2024: reactivation of free drawing and embellishment courses for artists
(Trieste): opening of the first official course for craftsmen in Trieste.
(4) Spring 2025: second edition of the architectural beauty salon.
− presentation of the first works of the “artist” students and of significant archives
belonging to citizens whose parents or grandparents were craftsmen or master craftsmen
