Appointments will begin today at the “P.” municipal library. De Nava” for the month of May. A calendar, this time too, full of different events for all ages.
In the afternoon, at 1.30, the Spanish language course organized by the “Calabria Spagna” association. Afterwards, at the De Nava villa, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, the Anassilaos association organizes the conversation “Homage to Petrarch on the 650th anniversary of his death”.
In the following weeks, as per the attached programme, there will be various initiatives also open to children and their families, as well as presentations of books and reading and writing workshops.
A total of twenty-two events are scheduled to make the municipal library increasingly open and usable by citizens, reflecting on historical, cultural, musical, but also economic themes, with particularly current implications, as well as educational analyzes in memory of witnesses of the past who have left indelible traces in the collective memory. This is the case of the appointment that will close the calendar of the month of May, Thursday 30th, when the lawyer Giovanna Russo, municipal guarantor for people deprived of personal freedom, will reflect on the figure of Don Italo Calabrò and his protection towards the least fortunate. An opportunity to also analyze future repair prospects.
