An open day with free visits, a new exhibition and musical entertainment were organized today, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of Diego de Henriquez. The “Diego de Henriquez” Civic Museum of War for Peace opened its doors to the public with a day entitled “D-Day for Peace”.

This morning the exhibition “The words of Diego” was inaugurated, created with the collaboration of the Rai-Regional Headquarters for Friuli Venezia Giulia, which tells the story of the genesis of the de Henriquez collection. The double bass players Lorenzo Ghirardini, Luigi Cimarosti, Mihailo Pesut and Andrijana Ramovic also performed during the event.

The day also includes three guided tours with the conservator Antonella Cosenzi and three performances of “Dancing four peace”, thanks to the Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia and the AREAREA company in the new stage of a multi-year collaboration, with a show of dance, poetry and music.

All events promoted today are free to the public. The museum was inaugurated on 28 July 2014 in the former “Duca delle Puglie” barracks and includes an itinerary dedicated to the Great War.
