After the formal notice by the managers of Perugia airport and a series of “operational adjustments” by Aeroitalia, the punctuality of the Perugia-Bergamo flight saw “a significant improvement”. The company said this in a note, taking stock of the first month of operation of the route; weeks in which there were significant problems and disservices.
The numbers Since the end of March, over two thousand passengers have been transported to and from Lombardy: «Thanks also to the operational adjustments implemented in recent weeks – explains Aeroitalia – the average filling of the aircraft is currently attested to over 50 percent, a sign of the effectiveness of our strategies and the trust of our customers.” From mid-April the timetables were changed and this led to a “significant improvement with a percentage of flights departing on time of over 90 percent”. The company’s promise is to continue to monitor the situation and, if necessary, to make further adjustments. As for the regularity of the service, it stands at 97 percent.
Olbia and Lamezia Meanwhile, as announced in recent weeks, new flights will depart from the beginning of June, again managed by Aeroitalia, to Olbia and Lamezia Terme. There will be two weekly frequencies: as regards Sardinia, departure every Monday and Friday from Perugia at 9.10am with arrival at 10.40am; the return is scheduled on the same days with departure at 11.20 and arrival at 12.50. As for prices in June they range from 64 to 84 euros one way, while in July and August from 95 to 110; basic fares that allow you to carry only a small piece of luggage on board. Coming to Lamezia, the outward and return flights will take place on Thursdays and Sundays, departing from Perugia at 9.10am and from Lamezia at 4.50pm and arriving an hour and a half later. Rates for the entire summer period range from 35 to 55 euros each way.
