Swimming, first long course meeting in Palermo and Messina

After an April without competitions, Sicily returns to swimming on the early weekend. In fact, the first category meeting in the long course will see the Sicilian clubs involved tomorrow, Friday 3 May afternoon, and Saturday in two sessions in the morning and afternoon. The swimmers from Catania, Messina, Ragusa and Siracusa will be guests of Unime at the university sports citadel of Messina, while those from Agrigento, Caltanissetta, Enna, Palermo and Trapani at the Olympic swimming pool in Palermo, in this case the committee makes use of the collaboration of the Nadir.

A maximum of six races each in the program, the same for both concentrations where relays are not foreseen. The athletes will begin to become familiar with the long course in view of the regional championships in July and some will already try to qualify for the national events, such as Sette Colli at the end of June and the Italian category championships in Rome in August.

TO Palermo Cus Palermo, Ita 12001, Nadir, Swim Power, Tc3, La Fenice, Mimmo Ferrito, Aquarius will be involved. Also competing are Gianluca Messina member of In Sport Rane Rosse and Gabriele Bosco and Diego Magrì of Poseidon. This is the race program.
TO Messina athletes from the companies Power Team, Swimblu, Unime, Idra Altair, Sport Club Erea, Poseidon, Sicilia Nuoto, Water Sun, Neri Fitness, Kiran Club, Match Ball. Here is the program, and the organizers specify that access to the facility will take place from Torrente Ciaramita and not via Palatucci.

Race program

Friday 3 May afternoon, start at 4.30pm: 200m freestyle, 100m breaststroke, 50m backstroke, 200m medley, 50m butterfly, 800m freestyle.
Saturday 4 May morning, start at 10am in Palermo, 10.30am in Messina: 200m backstroke, 50m freestyle, 400m medley, 100m butterfly, 200m breaststroke, 400m freestyle.
Saturday 4 May afternoon, start at 4pm: 100m freestyle, 200m butterfly, 50m breaststroke, 100m backstroke, 1500m freestyle.
