School bus heading to Puglia stopped by the local police of Caserta: high fines of 500 euros

Caserta – A school bus that was supposed to accompany a group of middle school students on a trip to Puglia was blocked by the Local Police of Caserta in the early hours of the morning. The intervention was conducted by Commander Colonel Antonio Piricelli during a routine operation to check the vehicles intended for school transport.

During the inspection of the vehicle, the officers found several irregularities. In particular, the presence of problems with the emergency door was highlighted, which was not working, and an expired inspection of the fire extinguishers. These anomalies pushed the Local Police to impose fines of around 500 euros and to prevent the bus from leaving for its destination.

The intervention of the Local Police created quite a few inconveniences for the students and school staff involved in the trip, who were forced to reorganize their travel plans. However, the decision to stop the bus was taken to ensure the safety of students and prevent possible accidents due to the irregularities found.

The Local Police of Caserta reiterated the importance of carrying out rigorous checks on vehicles intended for school transport, underlining that the safety of students must always be the absolute priority. Officers will continue to monitor closely to ensure that buses used for school trips comply with all safety regulations.
