Giovanni Santi (Garda Salò rowers) e Alex Demurtas (Fraglia Vela Riva): out of the 57 crews that took to the water on the Romagna Riviera there were 6 thatthe Salodiansall qualified for the Gold fleet. A demonstration of strength that is also reflected in the second place overall achieved by the pair formed by Giulia Bartolozzi And Pietro Rizziwinners in the Under 19 category.
But it’s the whole team Garda rowers to have performed well, with 6th place Emilia Salvatore And Pietro Zandri, 7th place Lorenzo Rossi And Marco Albertithe 9th of Camilla And Leonardo Cerutithe 11th of Alexei And Walter Bonizzoni, and the 18th place of Rudolph And Giulio Compagnoni.
Santi and Demurtas, close to moving into the 49er FX class, were also protagonists of a protest which led to the outright disqualification of the Trieste crew made up of Enrico Coslovich (CV Muggia) e Giuseppe Montesano (CNT Sirena), who then came third in the final ranking.
