ELDERLY MAN SLIDES INTO ANOTHER HOLE IN VIA CARABBA ALL’AQUILA: RESIDENTS, “DANGEROUS ROAD” | Current news

L’AQUILA – An elderly man slipped on a dangerous stretch of asphalt that sank several centimeters in via Rocco Carabba in L’Aquila. This is due to the rain water stagnating and therefore the obstacle was impossible to see, and he deceived the pedestrian
Luckily the consequences were limited given that it was a sprain which still ruined the May 1st health walk that the man was taking.

For months, that very busy stretch of road, which is opposite a gym and many commercial activities, deserves more attention from the competent municipal offices according to what residents report. The whole area, however, has several critical points where the road and pavements are uneven as can be seen in the photo provided by G. Cocciolone, where the man fell, perhaps due to ancient problems with the consistency of the soil but also due to traffic which in the area is also intense due to the transit of some heavy vehicles.
