Lamezia Terme – The Polyphonic Choir “La Corale” of Feroleto Antico has not forgotten, in the program of events, the weakest, that is, those who have greater needs both to be in the company of others and to rediscover the beauty of God’s love through the event of Easter. In this context, after the first exciting event last Sunday at the “Madonnina” shelter for the elderly and the “Sant’Antonio” shelter for the disabled in Montesoro in Philadelphia, the “La Corale” Polyphonic Choir of Feroleto Antico is preparing to perform for the elderly guests of the “Tamburelli” retirement home in Lamezia Terme by staging the Recital entitled “Christ is Risen” in the early afternoon of Sunday 5 May.
“The initiative, made possible thanks to the availability and sensitivity of the choristers, will give the opportunity – explains the President of the “Choral” Antonio Michele Gigliotti – to give the patients of the “Tamburelli” retirement home the announcement joyful that Christ is risen and to express Easter greetings to those who sometimes live in suffering and loneliness with the closeness and affection and joy of songs”.
The choir, which, among other things, participates almost every year in the concert organized by the Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia which takes place in Rome in St. Peter’s Basilica, in the presence of the Pope, currently has the Maestro as artistic director and choir director. Don Pino Latelli. During the musical meeting, during which narrated parts entrusted to the voice of maestro Don Pino Latelli and musical parts will alternate, the “La Corale” formation from Feroleto will perform pieces of music taken from the repertoire of the greatest musicians of all time and also traditional Easter and Marian songs.
