The weapon, analyzed by RIS experts, was found in perfect condition. And modified as Messina Denaro himself said in an interrogation which took place on 13 February in the L’Aquila prison. “You can’t trace anything back,” said the boss, answering questions from Palermo prosecutor Maurizio De Lucia and deputy Paolo Guido. And he added lyingly, “they brought me the gun from Belgium twenty years ago.”
