Modena narrowly defeated by their cousins from beyond Secchia, thanks to a penalty generously awarded by Oukhadda with a naive sleep; yellows defeated beyond their own demerits, but never truly dangerous up front, and who, once at a disadvantage, despite playing with heart and will, never gave the impression of being able to equalize; Mapei confirms itself as a haunted stadium, in which Modena has never scored.
Bisoli proposes the starting eleven seen with Sud Tirol: in front of Gagno, a line of four Magnino, Zaro, Pergreffi and Cotali; in midfield Battistella, central Santoro and Corrado, with Palumbo in the attacking midfield; In front there is room for Abiuso and Gliozzi, who will become impalpable during the race.
The first opportunity is for Modena, in the 5th minute, with a nice cross from Corrado which Abiuso pounces on but his header ends up high; Abiuso tries again in the 18th minute still without luck.

Bisoli changes immediately: Bohzanaj and Strizzolo come on for Cotali and Gliozzi, the yellows switch to 4-4-2 with Cauz on the low outside and Bozhanaji on the left on the other side.
Modena tries with heart and will, but without ever making themselves dangerous; Gondo fails to double the lead on a counterattack, in the 74th minute by Manconi for Abiuso; Modena remains in Reggiana’s metafield, trying to throw a few balls into the area but the attacking play, the real Achilles’ heel of the entire season, continues to lack; 5 minutes of stoppage time were not enough, the yellow team came out defeated, despite their heart, commitment and determination not being lacking; the Curva, with a spectacular choreography, applauds at the end of the race.
Modena which remains at 43 points but virtually safe, due to today’s results; Ascoli, Ternana and Bari, at 37, can rise to 43 but Modena remains ahead in the separate rankings and in direct clashes with Ascoli and Ternana; however, at least one point will be needed for mathematical certainty.
Modena will be back on the pitch on Sunday 5 May at 3pm at the Braglia against the very fast Como.
