At the next European consultations “I believe in it and I want to give it our all. It would be ungrateful on our part to throw away 30 years of history which saw us, around Berlusconi, protagonists of an epochal change. We couldn’t accept that that story could end with the death of Berlusconi”. This is the commitment made by the deputy prime minister, minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation and leader of Forza Italia, Antonio Tajanipresenting Forza Italia’s Emilia-Romagna candidates for the next European elections.

Forza Italia candidates

“We must make our maximum efforts to transform what is in the air into votes – he added -: the more consensus we have, the more we will count. We must assert our identity and we must look at Brussels with eyes different from those with which we look national politics. The European families count there and the largest family that gives the cards is the Europe People’s Party. Therefore – he added – the stronger we are, the more the Italian voice will count in Europe”.

“Forza Italia certainly has some excellent candidates – he underlined -. When there is a table to discuss the presidency of the Region we will give our names to the allies and we will look for the winning candidate”. As for a possible overtaking by the League, Tajani “is not worries”. “I run to gather support for Forza Italia – he explains -: I never speak badly of anyone. I don’t do it with political opponents, let alone if I do it with allies.”

From Imola a message of peace in the Middle East

From Imola, where he participated in the celebrations of the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger, the Foreign Minister sent a message of peace. “I am happy that the Brazilian Foreign Minister and the Austrian Foreign Minister accepted our invitation – he says -: their presence is not only a testimony of closeness to two great motoring champions but is also a way to launch from here a message of peace. A message addressed to Israel, addressed to Hamas so that the hostages can be freed, a ceasefire can be reached that will bring aid to the Palestinian population.”

Job security

“Work must be celebrated every day, it must be built, it must be ensured that there are rich salaries, it must also be ensured that there are no more deaths at work. It is good to increase the number of inspectors and we also help businesses perhaps by tax-exempting investments in safety”, explained the deputy prime minister and minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, on the sidelines of a visit to the Cooperation Festival underway in Bagnacavallo, in the Ravenna area, at the plant of the Agrentità agricultural cooperative. “We celebrate May 1st with the workers of the cooperatives – he added referring to the party – who truly represent an important network of our economy”.
