After the tractor protests, “L’Abruzzo in Agris” is formed

After the tractor protests, the association “L’Abruzzo in agris” was formed with the aim of defending farmers and valorising their work.

The president is Marco Finocchio. The newly born group in the panorama of regional associations follows the protests that began in Abruzzo on January 22nd, from the garrison at the former Cofa in Pescara.

“We are determined and our intent, as an association, is to represent also and above all the younger part of the agricultural sector, but without neglecting anyone – declared the coordinator -. The objective is to face together the many challenges that the future holds for us by solving united, the problems and unitedly overcoming the many and too many difficulties that afflict the first sector”.

Women also have an important and fundamental role in the association in which all members are farmers and breeders from the 4 provinces of Abruzzo, qualified and committed professionals. “The association ‘L’Abruzzo In Agris’ has reached 120 members in just 2 months, which is an excellent result for the sector. These are farmers and breeders with an average age between 30 and 40 years old coming from all over the Abruzzo who are finding in the association a point of reference to address issues, from the largest to the smallest, and all those issues that are dear to the agricultural world: pastures, wildlife, climate change, diesel, fight against photovoltaics on agricultural land , European policies – concluded Finocchio – We are ready to work for our rights and for our great region”.
