The dog is man’s best friend but often the opposite is not true and the unconditional love of our four-legged friends is repaid with the worst of coins: abandonment.
This is what happened yesterday morning in the center of Power where i Carabinieri of the local station, engaged in patrolling the territory, heard barking coming from inside a van parked on the side of the road with doors and windows closed. Looking inside, the soldiers noticed a cage inside which he wriggled and yelped in despair cute dog who gave, from behind bars, a sad look of help.
The Carabinieri immediately requested the intervention of the Fire fighters to access the inside of the van, they have like this set free the poor little animal from its captivity and then entrusted it to the care of the staff veterinarian of the ASP of Potenza.
The owner of the vehicle and the dog, a 30-year-old from the province, has been identified and reported for abandoning animals and will now have to account to the Potenza Judicial Authority for his reprehensible conduct.
