Like every year, the 3 winning artists of the 1Mnext Contest will also perform on the stage of the May Day Concert: Atarde (Ancona), Giglio (Turin) and Moonari (Rome). One of the 3 will be chosen by the artistic direction of the event and awarded during the live TV broadcast as the overall winner of 1Mnext 2024.
Under the title “Let’s build together a Europe of peace, work and social justice”, the artists who will take the stage will also express their solidarity towards Toomaj Salehi, the Iranian rapper sentenced to death for his lyrics. The presence of the English ethologist and anthropologist Jane Goodall, fervent supporter of environmental and humanitarian causesunderlines the importance of themes such as sustainability and social responsibility, enriching the event with meaning.
The Concertone can also be listened to on Rai Radio 2, which will broadcast the event from 4pm until after midnight in simulcast with Rai 3. The programming will be enriched by live coverage of Diletta Parlangeli until 7pm, followed by the connection with Carolina Di Domenico And Pier Ferrantini around 8pm to accompany the public until the end of the show. Also, DJ sets Ema Stokholma from the stage between 7pm and 8pm.
