FRASSO TELESINO, CRAFT BEER DEDICATED TO THE PIZZERIA BRANCACCIO DI CASERTA – Casertasera.it

Frasso Telesino. Pizza and beer, a timeless combination. But, when the pizza is excellent, the beer must be too. Thus, many pizzerias have had at least one menu on their menu for some time craft beer. Luca Brancaccio wanted to take a step further, asking the Del Sannio Brewery of Frasso Telesino (Bn) to create a dedicated label to his pizzeria in Caserta.

The Birrificio del Sannio beer for Pizzeria Luca Brancaccio is one Italian Pilsso a bottom-fermented pale ale, naturally artisanal, with 5.3% alcohol by volume, unpasteurized and unfiltered. The list of ingredients is very short: water, barley malt, hops, yeast, a pinch of sugar.

Once poured into the glass, the Italian Pils Luca Brancaccio has a cloudy yellow color and a compact foam, respecting the varietal characteristics. Upon tasting the beer is pleasantly aromatic and balanced and keeps its promises: the fresh herbaceous and floral scent soon gives way to hops, delicate notes of cereals and honey are perceived in the background.

This beer is perfect to accompany most pizzasespecially the more classic ones, without overpowering the flavor. We tasted it paired with a Margherita with wholemeal flour dough.

The menu of the Pizzeria Luca Brancaccio in Caserta includes a wide choice of craft beersincluding the full range of beers N’artisan of the Neapolitan Craft Brewery. There are two proposals missing gluten free: the Lager N’artigiana and the Igea, a Golden Ale from the Birra Salento craft brewery.

What is an Italian Pils

Italian Pils is a type of easy-drinking blonde craft beer with a low alcohol content, generally between 4 and 5.5% by volume. It is characterized by a slender but well-present malted body and a marked hop aroma. Compared to the Pilsners of the Czech and German schools, the Italian style involves the inclusion of a certain quantity of cold hops during the fermentation and maturation phase. This gives the finished product a superior aromatic fragrance to both the nose and the palatewhich together with the malty body that is present but never intrusive, gives a peculiar taste experience.
