Work, CGIL Puglia launches signature collection for the repeal referendums. He also signs in Ruvo – RuvoLive.it

Four questions on protection against illegitimate dismissals, overcoming precariousness – on which we focused, through a testimony -, safety in contract work. Objective: 500 thousand signatures to be collected by the summer for the calling of popular referendums in the spring of 2025.

The message that the CGIL intends to send is that work, people and their lives must be central in society, a fundamental element for sustainable and fair development, «against policies and models that over the years have affected the wages and lives of men and women – to the point that today one is poor even when working –, making those who work more precarious and more blackmailable and therefore less secure.”

The objectives of the four repeal questions of the 2025 referendum

Question no. 1 – Protected employment. The objective is to cancel the provisions on dismissals of the Job Acts which allow for the non-reinstatement of a worker who has been unlawfully dismissed if he/she was hired after 2015.

Question no. 2 – Decent work. The objective is to eliminate the maximum compensation limit in the event of unjustified dismissal in small companies (fewer than 15 employees) so that the judge can determine the right compensation without any limit.

Question no. 3 – Stable job. The objective is to cancel the liberalization of fixed-term contracts to limit their use to specific and temporary reasons.

Question no. 4 – Safe work. The objective is to cancel the rule which excludes the joint liability of client companies in contracting and subcontracting in the event of accidents and occupational diseases of the worker. For further information click here
