Councillors, politicians, experts and even lawyers. For thedog area Of via Tirso, in the San Fruttuoso neighborhood of Monza, everyone has moved. It’s a bit strange that so many people get busy in a normal dog area, but when there’s public health and better not to take anything for granted. Where public health means a clash between residents, between those who would like it closed because it is used improperly and those who instead consider it an important point of support for their four-legged friends.
The area, created once twenty years with an adjacent small playground reserved for children, it is located at the end of via Tirso, which is a closed-end street. It is located between blocks of flats and buildings. One resident explains that “there is only a pedestrian path as a divider”, while another adds that “there are only a few meters between the ground and my windows”. Some complain about the sloppiness of the area and above all the odors considered nauseatingas well as the barking of dogs until late at nighta: it seems that there are people who leave their dogs in the area and then he comes to get it back late at night. In short, in addition to being a very serious problem, the dog area in Via Tirso is turning into a source of friction and disagreements. So much so that the distances to the blocks of flats were measured by a technical report and the issue landed first in the neighborhood council and then in the municipality.
Furthermore, some residents have also involved lawyers who have turned to the Municipality to find out how it intends to resolve the problem. The Town Hall for its part is a niche. The environmental councilors, Giada TuratoAnd Andreina Fuamgalli, holder of the mandate for Housing Policies, ensure more punctual checks and cleaning. But the issue is getting out of hand, especially now that we are heading towards the summer and the windows remain open. The residents ask for the area to be moved to an alternative area (the Montagnone area could be an opportunity) and for compliance with the directives issued by the Minister for the Environment regarding green areas.
