The “Literary Meetings” continue in the Council Chamber: the appointment is on May 9th at 10 am
Fiumicino, 1 May 2024 – As part of the celebrations of 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Guardia di Finanzawill be presented, in Fiumicino, iThe book that recalls the heroic deeds of the chosen officer Antonio ZaraGold Medal for Military Valour, “Dying at twenty” written by retired Colonel Gerardo Severino. The presentation event will take place on May 9th at 11 am, in the council chamber of the Municipality and will be moderated by the journalist, Emma Evangelista.
“ The day is dedicated to the victims of terrorism and it is therefore a symbolic moment for remember and honor the memory of the one who foiled a cowardly act and who remains as an everlasting memory of the Fatherland.” declared the Mayor.
The event will be attended by the mayor Mario Baccini, the president of the city council, Roberto Severini, the councilor for culture, Federica Poggio, the provincial commander of the Guardia Di Finanza of Rome, the brigadier general Gavino Putzu, signatory of the preface of the book together with the colonel Fabrizio Musci, Commander of the Guardia di Finanza Group at Fiumicino Airport. The brother of the decorated Gold Medal for Military Valor, Angelo Zara, and the interregional Commander of Central Italy of the Guardia Di Finanza, General Ignazio Gibilaro, will speak.
