Monitoring at the Playa
To ensure safety in the meeting areas of families and children in the areas concerned, and in particular in the playa grove, there will be Police Horses that will also move along the coast. The Scientific Police will also be engaged in constant support to all forces in the field.
But the eyes of the State Police will also be those of the helicopter of the IV Flight Department of Palermo which will fly over the city coast for constant monitoring of all flows and the most affected areas.
Services in the city
In addition to the services on the coast, the State Police it will also be present in the city centre, a destination for many tourists, with the patrols of the police stations, the patrol cars and the plainclothes policemen of the Flying Squad and the Digos who, in coordination with each other, will create a monitoring network in the area.
THEIn particular, specific anti-robbery services have been provided, through a control of the areas with a high influx of people and where the greatest number of commercial establishments are concentrated, as well as a garrison at Villa Bellini also with plainclothes personnel and controls will be strengthened near places of worship, in the main green areas of the city and on the seafront and in meeting places for families, young people and the elderly.
Port, airport, homes
Also the Border Police at the Port and the Airport, the Traffic Police and the Railway Police will contribute to the surveillance system, with their specific services and skills.
Particular attention, finally, it will be reserved for the prevention of home thefts, to counter the risk that thieves, taking advantage of travel, could enter buildings in the absence of the owners.
