Massa Lombarda, the Cappelletto Festival at the weekend

One of the most awaited spring events in Lower Romagna returns this weekend: the Cappelletto Festival of Massa Lombarda, a custom which at each edition attracts many people ready to enjoy the fabulous pasta rolled out with a rolling pin by the volunteers of the Volunteers and Friends Association IOR. Since 2015, the absolute debut of the festival in its winter guise, the proceeds have been entirely donated to free assistance services for cancer patients, prevention projects in schools and to support scientific research that the non-profit organization founded in 1979 by prof. Dino Amadori carries forward in the Lugo area and surrounding areas: a story of commitment and dedication for an initiative that combines solidarity with the best gastronomic tradition of the area. The appointment is at the Neighborhood Center – Fruges in via IV Novembre 21: the restaurant will open on Saturday 4th only for dinner starting from 6.30 pm, and will continue its activity the following day both for lunch, from 12 pm, and for dinner, always from 6.30pm. About fifty IOR volunteer “azdore” rolled up their sleeves and prepared 280 kg of cappelletti: the menu will also include meat with grilled vegetables and the best traditional desserts.
