The boys and girls of classes 3A, 3B, 3C, 3E, 3G, 3H, 3L, 3N, 3O with the lawyer tutors Matilde Cafiero and Roberta Schiralli, members of the Agave association, reflected on the issues of legality, language of hatred and discrimination.
The students, starting from the famous phrase of the linguist Tullio de Mauro, reflected on the power of language as a vehicle for all forms of violence, hatred, discrimination and bullying.
After a phase dedicated to brainstorming on words of hatred, on real-life cases and news stories, the students created a manifesto of words that create “bridges” and do not divide.
The kids have rediscovered the beauty and power of words like “sorry”, “thank you”, “I believe in you”, “empathy” and have created new ones like “forgiveness”, a simple gesture that must travel from person to person. person to make the world a better place.
“All of us at the Agave Association, in union with the president Etta Tarantini, are very satisfied with the path undertaken with these splendid students and ask us to always keep a high level of attention on our young people, often swallowed up by the world of social media which is ephemeral and false and does not allow him to express true emotions and language.
We thank the Director Marco Galiano and the teachers who strongly wanted this path, we will not forget even a moment, a look or a face of these kids of ours”. These are the words of the curators of the project at the end of the experience.
