With Futura Crespini’s four “no’s”.

The proposal for the urban planning policies of Francesca Crespini and Futura, a civic list connected to her, is based on four pillars: “no” to the sale of Santa Chiara, “no” to the industrialization of the Gaifa plain, “no” to degradation in neighborhoods around the historic center of Urbino and “no” to the Riceci landfill. In addition to these denials, the group supports project hypotheses that the candidate for mayor puts forward, among which the idea of a Polytechnic of the Arts stands out. “Santa Chiara has been included in the Municipality’s disposal plan, but this sale must be stopped – explains Crespini –. We have started a collection of signatures to oppose it, which we also want to bring to the city market with a banquet. We must stop selling off our heritage: Santa Chiara Chiara should be given free use to ISIA, and the same should be done with Palazzo Odasi for the Academy of Fine Arts, which currently pays the rent for it. Money taken from the training offered by these institutes, which risks being transferred elsewhere Certainly the Ministry will not buy Santa Chiara, rather it would move the ISIA to Pesaro. The Municipality must not act as a tenant, but bring the University, ISIA, Academy and Musical Chapel to the table, establishing a Polytechnic of the Arts for the Marche and would make it possible to regenerate the economy of Urbino, attracting students and professionals, who could then take care of a redevelopment of city areas, revitalizing empty buildings and the many vacant shops in the historic centre, perhaps with some tax relief. It must be the Municipality that makes the economy go round, creating a circular one, in which the benefits of investments fall on all citizens”.

Speaking of unused areas, Crespini points out one in particular, for which he has a purpose in mind: “In Via Martin Luther King, where once there were also shops, there is an abandoned building which will be completely emptied with the moving the canteen. A multifunctional space for families could be created there, with after-school activities and an internal play area, also to allow mothers to entrust their children to professional educators and entertainers while they work in the afternoon”.

Then the suburbs and hamlets, which everyone now calls villages, both definitions to be overcome according to Futura: “We must talk about a polycentric vision and a widespread city, in which each center has its own peculiarity. This is why we say no to industrialization in Gaifa. There we must invest in rural tourism, also involving other areas such as Torre San Tommaso: why not create farmhouse tourism and invest in the widespread hotel? Furthermore, we could stipulate an agreement with Fossombrone for an “archaeological walk” and then Canavaccio also has something to exploit the former Osca area, where we should create an arena for large events and concerts”.

Finally, a look at the surrounding area: “The Pnrr offers many possibilities in the healthcare field, we propose to open health homes on the side of the Foglia valley, in collaboration with municipalities such as Sassocorvaro Auditore and Montecalvo. It is a natural area to look at, there are also already publicly owned structures, to create a service for people and relieve the emergency room. Speaking of neighboring territories, we are against the construction of the landfill in Riceci at the time of the exchange with the University for Petriccio, Urbino has acquired 300 hectares of park and a dozen farmhouses in Pallino, in which perhaps even a multi-family hotel could be built: if you have taken over that area, how can you vote (in the Marche multiservizi board of directors, ed.) three times in favor of a plant like this, which would be built nearby?”.
