TERAMO. Teramo is preparing to welcome one of the most anticipated events of the year: “Waiting for May Day”, a music festival now in its 15th edition and organized by the cultural association Big Match. In the river park area Davide De Carolis everything is ready for the big concert that will see you go on stage from 5pm today Rose Villain, Dargen D’Amico, Toe in the sore And Ken La Fen. The finale was entrusted to the DJ set of Marini&Ferrara. Not just music, obviously: as per tradition, there will be moments of reflection and in-depth analysis on the issues of rights, work and social issues, thanks to the participation of the representatives of the provincial unions of CGIL and CISL and of the university students of the UDU. The free event attracts thousands of people every year and the maximum number of participants allowed is five thousand entries: once this threshold is reached, entry will no longer be possible.
To guarantee the success of the event and the safety of the participants, precise indications have been prepared both for the influx into the area and for what concerns specific prohibitions and behaviors to be observed within the space in the river park in line with those that are the national provisions for large public events. The opening of the access gates is set for 5pm and there will be three entry points: via Lungofiume Vezzola; via delle Officine; San Gabriele car park (each access will be equipped with a centralized “people counting” system). Artists, emergency vehicles, disabled people and the press will instead have access from via Fonte della Noce. To facilitate parking and avoid traffic problems, the organizers have agreed with the manager of the San Francesco and San Gabriele multi-storey car parks a regulated price for the whole night: using those spaces, in fact, will cost three euros from 5pm today until 8am tomorrow morning. Important provisions have also been made regarding public safety and security. In the river park area it will be forbidden to introduce: suitcases, trolleys, bags, backpacks larger than 15 liters in capacity; spray cans (including mosquito repellent, deodorant and sunscreen). It is also forbidden to bring with you alcoholic beverages of any strength, drinks contained in cans, glass bottles, metal water bottles or plastic bottles larger than 0.5 litres. Furthermore, it will not be possible to introduce animals of any kind or size, nor selfie sticks and tripods, umbrellas and poles, pens and laser pointers, drones and remote-controlled airplanes. Entry is also prohibited for bicycles, skateboards, skates and overboards, tents and sleeping bags, stadium horns, weapons, explosive materials, fireworks and smoke bombs. The park area will be patrolled by law enforcement, security and first aid personnel.
