Port of Livorno, security pact signed

It was signed by ADSP, Guardia di Finanza, Port Authority and Maritime Border Police

Livorno – A pact for safety in the port. This is the objective of the agreement signed this morning by Adsp, Financial Police, Port Authority and Maritime Border Police which will last two years. The document, signed in the Port Authority headquarters, thus regulates the forms and methods of collaboration in the field of security. In particular the ADSP will make various technological equipment available to other entities for carrying out their respective institutional activities in the field of maritime and port security. Furthermore, the Port Authority will also evaluate the possibility of implement the video surveillance system in the port. The Port Authority, the Financial Police and the Maritime Border Police will instead undertake to provide the widest institutional collaboration

“The port is today an increasingly complex system, solicited by continuous stimuli in the wake of the changes introduced by digitalisation, environmental sustainability and global geopolitical pressures” – explains the president of the ADSP Luciano Guerrieriwho adds: “In this context we must continue to invest in security and improve preventive measures aimed at repressing any type of threat, including criminal, which interferes with working conditions and the operational efficiency of the port.”
