We had anticipated it in the last few hours, but now it is also official: bad weather is now upon the gates of Abruzzo and the Civil Protection has issued a new alert.

Speaking exclusively to our microphones, the meteorologist had anticipated the imminent arrival of bad weather, but now the Civil Protection is also preaching maximum attention in Abruzzo. An alert has been issued for tomorrow, Wednesday 1 May, but the risk is that it will also be confirmed for the following day.

In particular the yellow alert has been issued for the Marsica and the Aterno and Alto Sangro basins. According to the forecasts, however, the most critical situation seems to be that of Thursday. We just have to wait for the next few hours to understand if everything will be confirmed or not.

Mattia Gussoni at our microphones he talked about mountainous and hilly areas ready to be hit by bad weather, but according to forecasts, rain is expected in all provinces. The L’Aquila area will almost certainly be hit by bad weather. Other areas may have clearer weather, but it’s definitely not a day to spend outside.

For Thursday the situation does not seem to change at all. The area most at risk is that of the province of Teramo where we expect only rain. In the rest of the provinces we cannot exclude an improvement during the day.

An improvement is expected from Friday

The weather situation, according to today’s forecast, should improve on Friday at least in the areas of Pescara and Teramo. The provinces of Chieti and L’Aquila could deal with bad weather and then on Saturday we will find sunshine and mild temperatures again. Naturally, this is a continually updated issue and we cannot rule out new developments.
