24 hours without warranty bands

The first transport strike takes place in the first days of May: in fact, a national strike by the staff of the FS Group and Trenord is planned between Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May. Considering that it is a weekend, there will be no guaranteed time slots for trains. However, the local public transport service (i.e. metro, bus and tram) in Milan managed by Atm will be regular.

The agitation, anticipated as always by the dedicated calendar of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, was called by the trade union Cat and comes after a Friday (3 May) of protests by the staff in charge of maintenance of the Italian railway network, RFI. An event which, in turn, could have repercussions on the regular operation of trains.

Train timetables for the strike on May 4th and 5th

The train strike will continue from 9pm on Saturday 4 May to 8.59pm on Sunday 5 May. It concerns the FS Group, Trenitalia, Trenitalia Tper and Trenord. “The trains – Trenitalia informs – may be subject to variations or cancellations. Trade union unrest may lead to changes to the service even before the start and after its conclusion”.

“Travelers – continues the note – will be able to request a ticket refund in accordance with the General Conditions of Transport of each carrier, which can be consulted on the website of the individual railway companies. More information on connections and services is available on the other FS Group web channels and Trenord, at customer service staff and ticket offices”. For the occasion, a free call center will be active on 800 89 20 21.
