Alghero The Marine Hospital of Alghero has inaugurated the era of robotic surgery. «With the first interventions Alghero thus becomes a regional point of reference for orthopedic surgery, which will now work assisted by latest generation robots» comments Michele Pais, regional coordinator of the League.
«The far-sighted project envisaged by regional law 24 of 2020, branded by many as imaginative, but which today is reality, is finally coming to life» – he continues – A project, that of the relaunch of the Marino Hospital of Alghero, strongly opposed by the gentlemen of the “No to everything”, who today govern the Region. There are as many as 150 surgical operations performed by the competent orthopedic team of Alghero in the new operating room of the Marino Hospital, inaugurated on March 1st, which, thanks to the strategic investments planned by the Region and the AOU and the contribution of the University of Sassari, stands as a center of excellence for orthopaedics, with the help of the most advanced robotic technology, traumatology and rehabilitation, enriched with the endocrinology division for what concerns degenerative diseases of the bone tissue, such as osteoporosis”.
