“Let’s build together a Europe of peace, work and social justice”. This is it slogan which this year will accompany the May Day celebration organized by CGIL, CISL, UIL scheduled for next Wednesday.
The provincial festival will be held in Ravenna to the Public gardens of viale Santi Baldini who will open the gates in the morning with the distribution of the carnation and the reuse market. In the Gardens it will take place at the same time StreetFestival with street foods. At 14 the stage will host i concerts by Reverso and Mementos. At 3.30pm it is expected the intervention – on behalf of CGIL, CISL and UIL – by Massimo Zaniratoregional confederal secretary of Uil. Always inside the party, from 3pm will open it children’s space.
TO FaenzaMay Day will be celebrated in Piazza del Popolo. At 9 one is planned distribution of sweets and drinks he was born in red carnation. At the same time there will be entertainment by Duo-Chiari. At 10 o’clock is expected greeting aside of the administration and then he will intervene, on behalf of the three unions, Marco Giornelliunion official of Uil of Ravenna
TO Lugoin Largo della Repubblica, near the Pavaglione, CGIL, CISL and UIL will organize the traditional morning distribution of the carnation.
TO RussiansCgil, Cisl and Uil, together with the pensioners’ unions and the social centre Porta Novathey make an appointment at 14 at the Falcone-Borsellino park in front of the community centre. Are expected music and dancing with the duo Daniela and Leonardo Vallicelli and a children’s workshop. It will also be possible to have a snack in the park. In case of bad weather the event will take place inside the centre.
TO Cerviain Viale Roma, is planned from 9am the carnation distribution.
The initiatives of CGIL and SPI CGIL in the provincial territory
For the May Day celebrations, CGIL and the Spi CGIL pensioners organize numerous initiatives in almost all the municipalities of the provincial territory. These are some of the scheduled events.
In Russi, in Piazza Dante, the carnation and balloons will be distributed from 9.30am to 11.30am (and at 2pm in Porta Nova). In Massa Lombarda, in Piazza Matteotti, there will be the distribution of the carnation from 9.45am accompanied by the music of Martina and Stefano. At 10.30 there will be greetings from the mayor Daniele Bassi, William Signani, from the CIA Romagna, and the speech from Manuela Trancossi, general secretary of the CGIL Ravenna. The ride starts at 2.45pm with expected arrival at 4pm at the Piave park. Until May 5th it is possible to visit the exhibition “Work and the First of May” set up in the Sala del Carmine.
In Bagnara di Romagna, in Piazza Marconi, the “doughnuts” and the traditional distribution of carnations return from 7.30am. In Voltana the carnations will be distributed in front of the Casa del Popolo, in via Fiumazzo, from 9 to 11.
In Porto Fuori in front of the PD club, in via Staggi, from 9 to 12, red carnations will be distributed. In San Bernardino and Belricetti, Tuesday 30 April, from 9 to 11, distribution of carnations in front of the San Bernardino grocery store. For the occasion, the students of the Marconi elementary school will give those present a drawing.
For San Lorenzo and Ca’ di Lugo, the meeting point for the distribution of the carnation is from 9 to 11.30 in Piazza 8 Marzo in San Lorenzo. For the occasion, the children of the Don Galassi nursery school in San Lorenzo will give away their drawings. In Riolo Terme the carnation distribution will take place in the morning in Corso Matteotti, while in Punta Marina the appointment is in front of the Central Bar in Via dei Navigatori from 8am to 12pm. In Sant’Agata sul Santerno the carnations will be distributed from 9am to 11am. in front of the Spi CGIL headquarters, in Piazza Umberto I.
In Conselice in Piazza Foresti from 9 to 11 distribution of carnations and balloons. In Lavezzola at 9.30am meeting at the Pasolina farm in via Gardizza with departure of the procession of agricultural machinery and bicycles, arrival at 10am in Piazza Caduti. At 10.30 Sara Errani, from the provincial confederal secretariat of the CGIL of Ravenna, will speak.
