On Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April “Pianeta Sport” took place at the Apan swimming pool in Reggio Calabria, the 1st Time Trial for Beginners A and Beginners B to qualify for the Summer Regional Championships of the Italian Swimming Federation. Among the companies of the city of Reggio Calabria, we also see that of the “Andrea Maria” sports center in Pentimele, Swimming experiencewho taking part in the event brings with him 13 athletes, aged between 8 and 12.

The words of Coach Ferruggiara
The Swimming Experience Athletes, selected over the years by the Swimming School of the Andrea Maria Sports Center, performed well and confirmed the times recorded at the previous Winter Regional Finals. Satisfied Emon FerruggiaraCoach and Co-President of the company that manages the center, who declares: “The times as predicted were confirmed, however we have had many improvements from a technical point of view. We are in a period of the year where, considering age, training volumes have increased and the technical aspect is given more attention.”
It’s still “The greatest satisfaction, however, is no longer seeing individual students/athletes but a cohesive team that honors the fundamental values of sport such as aggregation, sharing and socialization”. Ferruggiara concludes with: “The future calendar for our club is particularly rich, on May 5th we will be busy with the ASI team in Messina, on the 11th and 12th the FIN category will be busy in Cosenza, on May 24th/25th and 26th the whole FIN team will be busy on PIskeo Trophy in Messina, on 2 June the Masters will be involved in the Team Championship in Cosenza, on 7/8/9 June the ASI Team will once again be present at the ASIADI and then the new time trials and finally the finals”.
A lot of stuff, as young people say today, commitments which however are rarely burdensome for the athletes who instead often see an opportunity to get involved and improve, as well as the possibility of spending time full of intense emotions with their teammates. We therefore only have to wish the best to the Società Esperienza Nuoto of the Andrea Maria Sports Center, and then a well-deserved summer rest that will see them refresh themselves for a new and exciting competitive year.
