We had already learned that Rari was a great team during this splendid season. We had a taste of how strong his nerves were, especially in the last few days. If such a young group was capable of managing a complicated event like the playoffs, however, we had no idea. The answer lies entirely in race 1: yes. Bologna wins the first match of the series by overcoming a tough SS Lazio Nuoto 6-5 who fought until the last moment in the Sterling tank. On both sides there is no shortage of forbidden shots, nervousness dominates a match that both teams absolutely want to win.
The chronicle of Rari-Lazio
As predicted on the eve of these playoffs, defense proved to be the key element of the match. After an initial study phase, Bologna is the one to break the deadlock, exploiting the levers of Morselli to take a 1-0 lead. The situation is reversed, Lazio shortens with a penalty Bulls and takes the lead with Rugora, who puts the ball under the arms of a good Galbani. Race 2: a battle to win
Now more than ever Rari will have to squeeze in to try to close the series in the Le Cupole pool. A very difficult challenge on a field where the Posterivo girls have never played in recent times. The Lazio players have collected many points within their own walls, and given the importance of the event, won with difficulty by the Spagnoli girls, the public will come in large numbers. As explained by Posterivo in the post-race 1 statements, Rari must prepare for a tough, muscular and nervous challenge. It will be important more than ever at this time to grit your teeth and organize your ideas. Rari will have to rediscover the clarity that allowed her to take home game 1 to deserve a place in the final against the very strong Volturno.
