Cases of malaise – comments Giovanni Zavattoni secretary provincial general of the FLC CGILand violence by adolescents are on the increase not only at a national level, there is also this problem at the Piacenza level.

What can be done?

We need adequate resources in schools to be able to deal with these educational emergencies which over the years are becoming more and more problematic and increasingly not isolated cases.

Teacher attacked with backpack, Teachers’ Guild: “We ask for criminal action”

Once again a teacher was the victim of a delinquent act, this time it happened in a high school based in Piacenza where a (pseudo) student hit a teacher with his backpack.

The Teachers’ Guild believes that disciplinary action against the perpetrator of the violent act alone is not exhaustive; attacking people, especially when they are public officials in the exercise of their duties (such are the state school teachers) is a crime.

The Teachers’ Guild of Parma and Piacenza urges the school administration to immediately inform, if this has not already happened, the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Juvenile Court of Bologna, competent for the specific case as it would involve a major subject aged 14 and therefore attributable although not yet eighteen.

Salvatore Pizzo, coordinator of the Teachers’ Guild of Parma and Piacenza, recalls that Minister Valditara recently recalled that teachers who are victims of delinquent acts must be assisted by the State Attorney’s Office, also to evaluate the compensation needs, unfortunately we note that the authorities Local schools in our area hinder teachers who are victims of violence: recently a similar case occurred in a school in the province of Piacenza, where two parents heavily threatened a teacher who had dared to scold a little girl (the prosecutor’s office is investigating the case) and despite this legal assistance was denied.
