Luigi Silipo is the new police commissioner of Viterbo. He succeeds Fausto Vinci who moves on to head the Latina police station. Silipo, 56 years old from Rome, directed the capital’s flying squad from 2015 to 2021 and was then promoted to senior manager, moving to the Central Directorate of the Criminal Police as ministerial advisor. Since May 2023 he was police commissioner of Macerata.
To Fausto Vinci, who leaves Viterbo after about two and a half years, words of thanks and appreciation from the President of the Province, Alessandro Romoli.
“On my personal behalf and on behalf of the entire provincial administration of Viterbo – he writes – I intend to express sincere thanks to the police commissioner Fausto Vinci for the excellent work carried out in Tuscia. Attentive and sensitive towards the needs of the people of Viterbo, he has demonstrated great availability towards citizens, professionalism and presence in the area. I had the pleasure of getting to know Commissioner Vinci in depth on the various institutional occasions and appointments in which we were involved: in him I found a sincere person, a true man of the institutions and servant of the Republic. Not only. I also appreciated Commissioner Vinci’s great willingness to meet young people in schools and to dialogue with them to spread the culture of legality. In thanking him for what he did in Viterbo and its province, I offer him my most sincere wishes for good work in the new position obtained in Latina. I have no doubt that he will achieve excellent results in the Province of Latina as well. At the same time, I welcome the new police commissioner of Viterbo Luigi Silipo to Tuscia.
