On the agenda are important practices, such as the changes to the Tari tariffs, the 2023 financial statement and the important issue of the approval of the Rivieracqua statute, preparatory to the entry of the private partner (tender in July), into the structure of the company that manages the integrated water service of Imperia.
The last municipal council of Biancheri: “Fifteen million for the next administration”
Mayor Alberto Biancheri he opened the Council by greeting the majority, opposition and municipal employees, before proceeding to illustrate the report. «I don’t hide a certain pride– said the mayor -. All the yes votes we received in this chamber and the fact that there was never a shortage of quorum make me believe that it is a sign of trust in me.” Biancheri then illustrated the main works that his administration has implemented: from the restyling, with a complex start and slowed down by the well-known judicial events (conference of services inherited from the next administration), to the Palazzetto dello Sport, to the car park in Piazza Heroes.
«I recognize that perhaps it is time for a change, for new blood to arrive. This is important to point out– closes the mayor – that the next administration will have 15 million euros of budget surplus available to invest.”
“Changing clothes without denying the dress”
Councilor Artioli’s (Forza Italia) response is harsh: «The mayor is much more capable than the rest of the majority of touching feelings. Especially in the first term, I often supported him, it’s not all light or shadow and he went through moments of real emergencies. I have the impression, however, that as the years have passed, the mayor has become distracted. Like when you open an old wardrobe and smell stale. It’s time to change, without denying the dress in its entirety.”
