Carlo Ambrogio Enrico Mazza he will be the new Police Commissioner of Varese. The decision ordered by the Department of Public Security constitutes a return for Dr. Mazza who had already been Vicar of the Police Commissioner in Varese from July 2020 to April 2023. He will succeed the current Police Commissioner Michele Morelli.
The Dr. Carlo Ambrogio Enrico Mazza, Milanese and graduated in Law from the University of Milan in 1987, has a long and distinguished career in the State Police. After starting in 1990, he held several significant roles, including director at DIGOS in Milan, specializing in counter-terrorism and investigative activities related to international organized crime. He also served as an Anti-Narcotics Expert at the Italian Embassy in Venezuela, managing important international agreements and coordinating crucial investigations. Among his experiences, he directed the Anti-Crime Division in Verona and Vercelli, and worked as Deputy Police Commissioner in Lecco and Varese. Since May 2023, he has held the role of Police Commissioner of the Province of Sondrio.
