The event, promoted by the National Foundation for Labor Consultants and organized on the banks of the Strait by the Order of Labor Consultants in collaboration with the National Category Bodies and with the patronage of the Municipality of Messina, will stop in Messina, the only one in Sicily, next May 6th. The event, characterized by a traveling tour which started last April 3rd starting from Naples, is aimed at raising awareness in the areas of the country about the importance of work, legality and safety and to help young people (but not only) to orient themselves in choice of the profession that best suits one’s characteristics, motivations and abilities.
The truck will be present on Monday 6 May, from 9am to 2pm, in Piazza Duomo, to welcome interested parties and, more generally, citizens, to orientation, legality and safety in the workplace, in which the mayor Federico Basile will intervene to present institutional greetings and councilor Massimo Finocchiaro.
The event will be an opportunity to participate in an orientation moment during which it will be possible to take part in workshops on skills, active policies and types of employment contracts, as well as visit stands dedicated to specific topics, such as:
- Professional orientationto find out which path to take to become a Labor Consultant, a professional expert in labor law who provides assistance to companies and organizations in personnel management;
- Work orientationto learn through an interview with experts how to acquire awareness of one’s own aspirations and skills, as well as the paths to take to carry out the profession of interest;
- Write your CV – how to present yourself at work, advice on how to write an effective CV that highlights the most important experiences and strengths to find out how to present yourself at a job interview;
- Opportunities in the areato identify, with the support of a Labor Consultant, the job opportunities and active policies available in the area and send the application;
- Surprisingan innovative technological platform for orientation, designed to help identify strengths and the work field in which skills can best be spent.
Among the various activities proposed, it will also be possible to play with GenL, the Category videogame launch platform that promotes ethical and legal work. Divided into seven missions, the video game will allow you to face various challenges for combating crime in the world of work, in line with the mission of Labor Consultants, who have always been on the front line to support and spread the culture of legality, especially among the new generations. For these reasons, the “Work travels with us” tour represents a unique opportunity to convey the principle of legality with innovative resources and training meetings with expert professionals, and to offer young people the opportunity to understand how to orient themselves and which tools to use to enter into contact with the world of work and build an informed working future.
