VOGHERA Five representatives of Atletica Pavese di Voghera took part in the FIDAL track meeting, which took place in Pavia on 20 April. All competing over the distance of 30,000 metres. The best time result was obtained by Davide Legnari (Over 60), who ran the distance in 11’32”48, followed by the Over 70 Francesco Macrì, who finished in 11’50”48. It was then the turn of Franco Nicolò (Over 50) who ran in 12’58”37 and Giovanni Conca (Over 70), who clocked 13’31”22. In the women’s field, the F70 Annamaria Vaghi stopped the clock at 14’49”68.

ATLETIC PAVESE PROTAGONIST IN GROPELLO CAIROLI

Atletica Pavese on the podium nine times at the “Tri Pass e una Vulada”, a competitive race on the UISP circuit in the province of Pavia, which took place in Gropello Cairoli on 19 April. On the 6 and a half kilometers of the route, many of the 19 standard bearers of the Voghera team were in fact protagonists in the various age classes. Starting from the F70 and M60 categories, where the rossoblu recorded two hat-tricks. In fact, among the Over 60s, Franco Barletta, Davide Legnari and Luigi Bariani occupied, in order, the first three places in the ranking. In the women’s field, Annamaria Vaghi, Carilla Invernizzi and Angela Commetti did the same among the Over 70s. The day’s success was therefore completed by the victories of Martino Palmieri among the Over 65s, Giovanni Conca among the Over 70s and Francesco Puccio among the Over 75s, while Valerio Facciolo occupied second place among the Over 55s and Giuseppe Fiini took third place among the Over 70s.

Also competing were Antonio Bertola, Luisa Celasco, Giampaolo Di Bella, Claudio Prete, Giuseppe Santoro, Patrizia Scapolo, Maurizio Scorbati and Teraschi Gianluca.

In the ranking of the most represented groups, Atletica Pavese finally achieved a good second place, behind the organizing company of Garlaschese.
