After the Don Zampaglione pizza also comes the Don Zampaglione sandwich. It can be tasted from tomorrow (1 May) at the “Don” bakery in Condofuri, whose owner is a young man, Gabriele Ermegelliniwhich opened a month ago and whose specialty is gourmet sandwiches.
Gabriele decided to stay in Calabria and for this reason he undertook this dignified job, which takes up a lot of his time but which also gives him a lot of satisfaction. “From tomorrow – he claims – you can come and taste the Don Zampaglione sandwich. I wanted to dedicate it to this young priest because of his sympathy and his being a priest for Christ and among the people. A pastor must be among the people and love everyone.”
The “Don Zampaglione” sandwich is made up of mortadella, stracciatella and chopped pistachios. In thanking the owner for this sandwich dedicated to him, Don Giovanni Zampaglione, parish priest of Masella and Montebello Jonico, invited everyone to taste it.
