It will no longer be the home of successful films in the heart of Cremona, 13 years after the last closure. But the cinema which has borne the name of Ugo Tognazzi since 1991, the fourth T of the city, will remain a meeting place for students from each of the five universities located under the Torrazzo.

“Cremona, university city” is the project launched for years by the Arvedi Buschini foundation, as requested by the three thousand students in the city today, responding to a survey by the Cattolica promoted by the foundation.

«To be able to survive ourselves with dignity, I believe that the most beautiful, most interesting and most useful thing is to take care of young people – Giovanni Arvedi, president of the Arvedi Buschini Foundation, tells Tgr Lombardia -. My whole life has been based on these principles and with these criteria. Cremona is particularly in need of it, so as far as possible we have dedicated ourselves to this program and these projects.”

The recovery of the former cinema will be the third objective of Cremona, a university city. After the constant improvement of the educational offer and the creation of a European campus with new locations, the structure aims to bring the city into tune with the needs of students.
