ABRUZZO – “A meeting took place today in Naples for the presentation of the MaaS4Italy project in which, representing the Abruzzo Region, the Transport Councilor, Umberto D’Annuntiis, took part.

The Abruzzo Region – explained D’Annuntiis – was selected among the seven territories chosen for the implementation of a project aimed at building a digital, accessible and multimodal future, which will allow users to move more easily and plan their trips directly from an app that will allow you to carry out all the operations”.

The services, expanded with MaaS systems, will allow the integration of urban and extra-urban TPL services, the integration of mobility services (bike-scooters), municipal parking services and digital connection services to be experimented in a “dynamic” mode. with the internal areas as well as experimenting with the integrated management of the “Single” ticket.

“The evolution of transport in the next decade – continued the councilor – is central to the European debate for the community’s digital and environmental transition. In this evolution, Maas looks at the concept of mobility to be understood as a service, with the aim of integrating the different possibilities of public and private transport on a single digital channel, including car sharing, scooter sharing, bike sharing, taxi, so as to allow users to plan their travel experience in a comfortable and intuitive way. The intention – he continued – is to put users, whether passengers or goods, at the center of transport services, offering them tailor-made mobility solutions based on their needs and this means that, for the first time, facilitated access to the most appropriate transport mode or service is included within a package of flexible services addressed directly to the end user”.

Thanks to these platforms, it will no longer be necessary to download different applications to choose which type of public transport to use. The Maas, in fact, offers streamlined and convenient access, which makes multimodality a real workhorse, with particular attention to the customization of the service.

“Thanks – concluded councilor D’Annuntiis – goes to the Infrastructure and Transport Department, for the great work carried out which has allowed our region to be among those beneficiaries of the funding”
