The County EXPO promoted by the ProModica 1977 APS association with the institutional patronage of the Regional Tourism Department, the Sicilian Regional Assembly, the Free Municipal Consortium of Ragusa, the Municipality of Modica, the South East Chamber of Commerce, Confcommercio, Confagricoltura and Confartigianato.

The ribbon cutting is set for 6.00 pm in the space in front of the “Pietro Scollo” sports club. It will be all female. It will be Elvira Amata, regional councilor for Tourism and Maria Monisteri, mayor of Modica, who will give the start up to a sample collection that has been missing for five years and which will return in the 2024 edition with experience and innovation at its centre.

The reference axes identified are: Tourism and Territory, Agri-food, Eco-sustainable and Sport & Fitness.

“The EXPO of the County, comments the president of ProModica 77 Luigi Galazzo, does not only want to be an exhibition of goods and services aimed at technological innovation which over the years and in almost all sectors has made giant strides making us undoubtedly a better quality of life, but intends to identify through the comparison of ideas and proposals the way to a sustainable and possible development of our territories whose potential is enormous and which can’t wait to become instruments of collective growth. This will only happen if all the actors in the field decide to move with unity and cohesion of purpose, enhancing our identities and our knowledge.”

The first conference, starting at 7.00 pm at the Pala Exagone, will have the theme: “Tourism, today and tomorrow the value of a perspective”.

Participants will be: Elvira Amata (Regional Councilor for Tourism), Gianluca Manenti, Regional President of ASCOM, Maria Monisteri, President of GAL Terra Barocca, Felice Di Donato (Administrator of Modica Holet) and Sandro Gambuzza (National Vice President of Confagricoltura).

The evening will then end with a cabaret show entitled “Ridiamoci Sopra” with Nele Pluchino and Riccardo Tona and with Monica Leanza, Graziana Terranova, Giorgio Di Martino and Giovanni Peligra.
