On the occasion of Labor DayMay 1, 2024 some supermarkets, shops And shopping centers they will remain open to the public to guarantee the service.
Here is the first information on who remains open and who closes for the holiday.
Which supermarkets are open on May 1, 2024
As with the recent holiday on April 25th, some chains will also celebrate May 1st supermarkets and some shops will remain open to the public. Others, however, will opt to close or open with reduced hours. Since there is no official list with guidelines for each chain, we recommend checking the social pages and official websites of individual stores for more information.
Supermarkets have announced the closure of their stores ARD Discountthose of Arena Decò Group and most outlets Leroy Merlin (including those of Palermo and Catania), Natureyes And Family. With regard to Conad, several points of sale will be open in Sicily. To find the closest one, just go – on May 1st – to the map of open supermarkets on the Conad website (https://www.conad.it/ricerca-negozi). By selecting the “open now” filter, it will be possible to view the open stores.
In Catania, the “Catania Central Station Market“, from 9am to 8pm. For points of sale MD, Carrefour And Penny Marketwe recommend checking directly with the point of sale.
Shopping centers in Sicily, which ones remain open
Sicily Outlet Village: open, 10am-9pm
Gates of Catania: closed.
Etnapolis: closed.
Central Sicily: only McDonald’s open from 7.30am to midnight.
Palermo Forum: open, with regular hours.
The Portals (CT): open April 25; closed on May 1st. Cinema open from 5pm, Zangaloro from 11am to 11.30pm and Old Wild West from 12pm to 3.30pm and from 7pm to 11.30pm.
The Ginestre: to stay updated on opening hours, check the official website and Facebook page.
Poseidon Shopping Center: closed.
Le Masserie Shopping Center (RG): open from 10am to 9pm, according to the timetable indicated on the official website for public holidays.
