Fifteen Molfetta – Corrado Giaquinto. Works from the Bonasia Collection. Show event in Molfetta

MOLFETTA – This is a unique event. Unrepeatable. Which tells of the art and mastery of one of the most authoritative protagonists of eighteenth-century Europe. From May 11th to June 16th, in Molfetta, the corridors of the Library, inside the Fabbrica di San Domenico, will be dressed up with the works of Corrado Giaquinto with the exhibition organized by Partenope, an association for the dissemination of art southern, an initiative of exclusive importance which boasts the patronage of the Municipality of Molfetta, department of culture, and the collaboration of important private partners. Over 20 works on display, all authentic, all originally coming from the Bonasia Collection, born from a forty-year project of research and study of the works of the Molfetta painter, acquired in very different contexts and periods. All works have already been acquired for some time in authoritative private collections scattered throughout Italy. The exhibition, curated by Professor Gaetano Mongelli, art historian, and President of the Partenope Association, also includes some very important works by Francesco Solimena and takes shape from the idea and need to reconstruct a common thread between past and present, between the “Market” and the enlightened “Collectibles”.
