New stage of the project to valorise the frescoes of the brothers Tommaso and Matteo Biazaci.

From 7 to 12 May, guided tour of the works scattered between Liguria and Piedmont

Next week will be dedicated to the artistic heritage of the Biazaci brothers, with guided tours for schools and the public in some locations in the Imperia area, including the Sanctuary of NS delle Grazie di Montegrazie, the Sanctuary of NS Assunta di Piani, and the Oratory of San Bernardino da Siena in Diano Castello. Formae Lucis will also organize special guided tours for the public:

Furthermore, on Friday 10 May, at 6.00 pm, at the Sanctuary of Montegrazie, the conference “The painting of the Biazaci brothers in the Imperia area” will be held, organized by Dr. Alfonso Sista, with Renaissance musical interludes performed by the Ensemble Giardino Antico. The event is free.

The promotional events are part of the project to valorise the works of the Biazaci, promoted by Formae Lucis for 2024, and follow a first stage dedicated to the works of the Biazaci brothers in the Albenga area, which took place last April. The project is carried out in collaboration with the municipalities of Busca, Albenga, Imperia and Diano Castello, and with the Friends of the Santuario di Montegrazie Association and the IIS Amoretti e Artistico.

The guided tours are an opportunity to discover the artistic treasures of the area, offered by Formae Lucis in conjunction with the Days for the promotion of ecclesiastical cultural heritage, from 11 to 19 May 2024. On Saturday 18 May, guided tours of the church of San Pantaleo di Ranzo (IM) and its fifteenth-century frescoes, starting at 4.00 pm.
