“On behalf of Sannio al GG Team Wear Benevento 5 which colored the sky of the Serie A 5-a-side football team yellow-red, Dalla Rocca dei Rettori, April 2024″: thus reads the commemorative plaque that the President of the Province Nino Lombardi, in the presence of the Mayors and local Samnite administrators, wanted to deliver, in the Council Room of the Rocca dei Rettori, to the Managers, the Coach and the Captain and the Giallorossi team who achieved promotion to the Serie A 5-a-side football team, playing in this 2023/2024 competitive season in the Serie A2 Elite Championship, and crowning thus a journey that began in 2011 which led him to climb to the national top of this sporting discipline.
The entire team was present and upon delivery of the plaque there was a warm applause from all those present. the entire Samnite territory and, for this reason, declared Lombardi, the Province wanted to underline the deep satisfaction of the Institutions and the congratulations for the goal achieved, moreover at the end of a home match which, as the President underlined, took place at the PalaTedeschi, the large multifunctional structure owned by the Rocca dei Rettori.
The president of GG Team Wear Benevento 5 Pellegrino Di Fede, the vice-president Marco Maio, the General Director Antonio Collarile, the sports director Michele Marotta and the honorary President Mario Ferraro then took the floor to thank the Province for wanting to pay homage to the Society and the Athletes, also ensuring that the more the team will be present in the area with the smaller 5-a-side football teams present in Sannio.
