A 37-year-old Pakistani citizen was arrested on charges of “aggravated sexual assault” for molesting children outside a school in Arezzo. The facts date back to February 9th. The 37-year-old – investigators believe – targeted a 10-year-old boy, kissing him on the cheek a few steps from school. Shortly after, the man, according to the reconstruction reported by the Republic of Florence, took a 6-year-old child from his mother, taking advantage of a moment of distraction. The images from the neighborhood video surveillance cameras show the man walking away with the child. At that point, according to the child’s story to his mother, the 37-year-old – after taking him to a secluded place – pulled down his trousers and molested him. Then letting him go.
The arrest
The investigators of the Arezzo mobile school managed to identify the pedophile. The man’s identity was confirmed by the children’s relatives. From the police investigations it emerges that the 37-year-old had already been accused of a similar act in the past, against a child in another city. There are “serious indications of guilt” against him. The man was arrested and is now in Sollicciano prison, a neighborhood on the western outskirts of Florence.
