The “Balkan gate” operation at the beginning of June 22, 2005, seemed to have brought to light an intricate web of crime involving individuals from various Italian and Bulgarian locations. The charges ranged from participation in a criminal conspiracy to aiding and abetting illegal immigration to suspected involvement in the alienation of minors. The scope of the investigation was large, 70 people involved, with a significant number of individuals sought, suggesting that it was a well-structured and widespread organisation. The charges: trafficking of human beings, with the intent to exploit them through illegal work and prostitution, as well as the serious accusation of alienation of minors. The operation included the seizure of 20 vehicles, cars and vans, providing a glimpse of the extensive logistical support the organization had at its disposal to conduct its illegal activities. Rosa, teaches Italian and history at the Industrial Institute of Catanzaro, where her family has resided for generations: on 14 June 2011 – we read on ordinigiudiziari.com – the decree of the Court of Appeal arrived which formalized the unjust detention suffered, recognizing compensation and, above all, the responsibility of the State for the damage to his social, professional life, family and health. We read her story on the blog ordinigiudiziari.com which for several decades has been denouncing the abuses, abuses and deviations of the Italian judicial system. “Rosa has not overcome the trauma of that night between 21 and 22 June 2005, when the police knocked on her door following the arrest ordered by the then prosecutor Luigi De Magistris, then MEP for Italia dei Valori and later also mayor of Naples for two legislatures.”
