Lamezia, the writer Cristina Dell’Acqua at the ‘Saturday of the Village’

Lamezia Terme – After the physicist with millions of followers Vincenzo Schettini, the Rai 2 journalist Giancarlo Governi and the Premio Strega Emanuele Trevi, the cultural event returns to Lamezia Terme, on Saturday 4 May at 6pm, in the usual setting of the Palazzo del Seminario Vescovile «Village Saturday». This time the guest will be the well-known writer Cristina Dell’Acqua, who will discuss with the artistic director Raffaele Gaetano how classical literature can still represent a balm for the soul. “We all know – declared Gaetano – that the secret of an authentic life depends on the attention we dedicate to our soul, and no one is able to do it better than us. But how can we do it? Who cares about teaching us anymore? This unmissable event of Village Saturday comes to our aid because Greek and Latin writers become masters of inner well-being. With Aeschylus we learn the courage to be afraid, with Sophocles the formula of youth, while Euripides helps us train our will and Seneca teaches us how to become. best friends of ourselves: resilience pills that enter our everyday lives. All this comes from the passion of Cristina Dell’Acqua, who has learned over time to frequent the classics, experimenting with them in her own life”.

Among the most cultured and refined Italian writers, Cristina Dell’Acqua teaches at the prestigious Collegio San Carlo in Milan. Always passionate about teaching experimentation, she specialized in Arts Integration in the USA (Annapolis, Maryland). She published Mondadori with her A spa for the soul (2019), The magic knot (2021), Socrates’ formula (2023), and with Solferino The desire to fly (2022). He edited the weekly column «Dizionario del Tempo Presente» and «Mitici» for La7’s social networks, the series «I nostri miti» and «I miti delle stelle» on the digital of «Corriere della Sera». He publishes cultural articles for the «Corriere della Sera». The Saturday of the Village, they inform, “is promoted exclusively by private partners who have intended to link their name to an event of high culture: it represents an example of how entrepreneurship can generate positivity in a difficult area like the Calabrian one”.
