It has already done and will continue to cause a lot of discussion. We are referring to the tender for the three-year concession for the implementation of the Civitavecchia Summer Festival. The most important news to date is in fact that the public notice, which expired on April 10th, was deserted and therefore no offer was received for management in the years 2024/2025/2026.
As mentioned, the announcement has already triggered a lot of controversy since its publication: in particular because more points are awarded for free tickets for institutions rather than for the CV and experience of those who organize the events. Controversies that can only amplify as a result of the unsuccessful public tender.
The tender was abandoned, as also confirmed by the determination of the I Castelli della Sapienza Consortium, and now it will be necessary to understand what will happen to the main event of the Civitavecchia summer which in recent years has attracted artists of the caliber of, among others, Lazza, Geolier , Achille Lauro, Colapesce and Dimartino and always a packed house at the Marina. The time to organize a Civitavecchia Summer Festival at the levels of recent years is almost over and the possibility of having an “empty” summer is unfortunately not so remote.
