Bari trembles. The red and whites remain captured in a season that couldn’t have been more complicated. There’s more: since last Saturday, the Galletti are even in the direct relegation zone, tlastalso surpassed by Ascoli. A real crisis situation that does not allow for further missteps: there are three games left until the end of the regular championship. Here are some questions (and answers) about the moment of Giampaolo’s team.
Is salvation possible?
Mathematics does not condemn the red and whites, but Bari’s progress in recent weeks certifies that the cockerels are in a worse situation on a psychological level. The team is in retreat, in view of the match against Parma. The calendar itself is another element of fear: Ducali, then Cittadella and Brescia. We are talking about teams entirely introduced in the top half of the table. But the nine points available must represent a treasure to be conquered.
Who’s in goal?
Brenno is ending his first championship in red and white badly. It is very likely that the Brazilian will see his adventure in Puglia end in June at this rate. Behind him, Pissardo slyly waited for his turn. It is then inevitable to think of a footballer like Sibilli: the Campania striker has played the best season so far, at least on a personal level. He will want to carry on further, so as not to let all the good things he has done for Bari fall into oblivion.
Bari-Parma: who plays?
The match is delicate. The red and whites face the tournament leaders who, given some favorable results, could well celebrate mathematical promotion to Serie A at San Nicola. Giampaolo, however, must organize a team eager to throw their hearts beyond the obstacle. Pissardo the possible goalkeeper; Dorval and Pucino are playing on the right in defence, while there are no doubts about the ownership of Di Cesare, Vicari and Ricci. Bellomo and Benali are out in midfield due to disqualification (2 games stopped for the player from Bari). Bari will have to hold on to Maita, perhaps cohabiting with Acampora in the midfield position. Up front, Kallon, Sibilli and Morachioli could act behind Nasti, assuming the three-playmaker formation is confirmed. A more prudent attitude, in fact, would tip the scales for an extra midfielder (Edjouma or Lulic).
